The CoinDesk 20

The CoinDesk 20 is no longer being updated. For data and information on crypto markets and the digital assets the represent, visit CoinDesk Indices, in particular the CoinDesk Market Index (CMI) as well as the Digital Asset Classification Standard (DACS).

Conceived in 2020, the CoinDesk 20 was an exclusive group of digital assets that filtered from the larger universe of thousands of cryptocurrencies and digital assets to define a core group of 20. At the time, the assets here constituted roughly 99% of the market by volume. The CoinDesk 20 achieved its goal of moving beyond one-dimensional rankings, and formally passed that baton to CoinDesk Indices in the fall of 2022. CoinDesk is keeping this page available for reference but the lineup and associated data are no longer being maintained.
